So I’m just settling in here in England, I’ve now been here in 1,5 weeks. It’s lovely to finaly be together with my love. I’m looking for jobs while he’s working part-time and pushing his music.
We’ve been taking a lot of risks just to be able to live together and also to follow our dreams. It’s quite tough at the moment, were not sure how this will go, but we both know that some how, it will be all worth it in the end.
To be continued…

Veganism and Worldwide Water-Scarcity.
"Water footprint" is a concept that hasn’t gathered much attention yet. It has its own website, and it has its own small-but-growing academic literature… but it doesn’t seem to be grabbing headlines… yet.
The chart at the top I made myself (with data from the website cited) to show how the statistic can be used to (simply) contrast the ecological impact of meat and non-meat foods.
The lower chart (that I didn’t make myself) uses an example that’s less simple. There’s a sense in which one kilogram of fruit doesn’t fit into the human diet in the same way as one kilogram of meat, but one soy-burger fills exactly the same space on the plate as one beef-burger. No matter where you live, the ecological impact of meat is exponentially worse than a vegan diet, but (interestingly enough) the lower chart shows significant differences in the water-footprint for the same burger in different countries (with different climates, different supply-chains, etc.).
